We were curious about how people felt after they used social media applications. Were they happy, sad, or neutral? Our research data from the survey say that most people were more neutral and happy then sad. That is really good news but we wanted to go deeper than asking how they felt and more how people are treated on social media. The outcome of this question was that there was a positive correlation between the treatment of others and how people felt after social media. If people treated others well they were more happy or neutral and if they weren’t treated as well then they were sad. This tells us that “treat others the way you want to be treated.” The negativity was not a big issue but people could be less pessimistic and show more “likes” or complements online.
